New Year’s Resolutions…Blah

Good Morning, Happy New Year and even better yet…Happy Friday!

Another year has passed and we are now a week into the new one!  I hear lots of people talk about new year’s resolutions and let’s face it most resolutions are broken.  Sorry to be a drag.  If we are going to do something we are going to do it so I say BLAH to resolutions.

Even though I am kicking resolutions to the curb I am going to focus on organization.  We have baby number two on her way so we spent the last week beginning to prepare.  We had to clean out a room to open up one for her, get furniture set up, lend out some furniture there was no more room for and clean out our stuff.

We don’t have a huge house so how we were able to accumulate so much is beyond me because for the most part I am “somewhat” organized.  We were able to clean out so much stuff that it filled a Ford Expedition and then some.  All the mess had me a little flustered so a couple friends joined me and helped me go through everything, wash and organize the baby clothes and get my life back in order.  It is definitely helpful to have  a friend help out with this process.  BUT the friend must be someone that can tell you something is hideous and must go.

Even though the process had me a little stressed it was so worth it.  I have heard lots of people at the office say they did the same house cleaning over their break.  If you don’t get to it now shoot for a Spring cleaning.  It is such a good feeling.  We have space again and are not bursting at the seems.  Ahhh…sigh of relief.

So kick new year’s resolutions to the curb and pick one project you want to tackle and go from there.  Don’t over do it.  Our lives are already jam packed.

Happy New Year!

P.S. to my wonderful friends that help me so much the favor is waiting to be returned.  You say the day and I will help you clean out.

P.S.S. The space saver bags are amazing.  We bought them at Bed Bath and Beyond, but they have them at Target and everywhere else.  They really work. Love them!
