For the past couple weeks – every time I drove past our house – I noticed my out of control potato vines and how I needed to trim them.
Today, I decided to break my gardening rut and try to root the potato vine from cuttings. This is easily done with Ivy so let’s see how it plays out with a Potato vine.
Step 1: Cut it
Step 2: Remove some of the leaves close to the cutting so the leaves won’t be in the water.
Step 3: Find a cup, add water and put the cuttings in the water.
If it works. I will have some new (almost free) potato vines to add to other arrangements.
Here is a snapshot of the before, after and the cuttings in water. Stay tuned.
